School-Wide Social Emotional Curriculum

At Dry Creek Elementary we use the social-emotional curriculum, Second Step, schoolwide. This curriculum supports students in building social emotional skills; like nurturing positive relationships, managing emotions, and setting goals, so they can thrive in school and in life. It also supports teachers in engaging students with age appropriate, culturally relevant content.

Learning to Use Technology Safely and Responsibly

Digital citizenship teaches students how to use technology responsibly and safely, the internet and digital devices. A few examples of digital citizenship include: Learning to type, use a mouse and other computer skills. Avoiding harassment or hateful speech while conversing with others online. Encouraging yourself and others not to illegally download content or otherwise disrespect digital property.
